The Rev. Dr. John Weagraff has served as Outreach Minister at First Church since 2008.  John is the Coordinator of Clinical Pastoral Education Programs at St. Vincent’s Hospital at Worcester Medical Center.  He is also an adjunct faculty member in the Religion and Philosophy Department at Northeastern University and a Lecturer in Professional Ethics at Assumption College. 

John’s ministry takes him outside our church walls and programs.  He serves as a Clinical Psychologist with Community Impact, Children’s Charter and Wayside Youth and Family Services. John’s expertise and advocacy in mental health has resourced First Church in many ways.  His perspective is a welcome addition to worship and preaching.  John opens us up through his experience as a chaplain to the humanity and the dignity of those coping with mental heath issues.  John was a part of First Church long before he volunteered to join the staff as Outreach Minister, joining in 1985.
